At Quinn Downes we offer Apprenticeships in Plumbing, Pipefitting and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
We pride ourselves in offering each Apprentice every available opportunity to get the most from their time here. We recognise that the Apprentices of today are the future leaders of tomorrow here in Quinn Downes, with many of our leadership team and Directors having started as Apprentices themselves, they are paving the way for the next generation.
Apprentices at Quinn Downes will be supported every step of the way and rewarded for their successes through our Apprentice Development Programme. We recognise and appreciate all of the hard work and efforts our Apprentices put in each day.
During the on the job training portion of your Apprenticeship you will be working alongside highly skilled professionals who will be able to teach you the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the role.
The end of your Apprenticeship is just the beginning of your career. On completion of your Apprenticeship as a newly qualified tradesperson there are so many opportunities available to you. At Quinn Downes we encourage and support any further development of staff, with this many of our Apprentices have quickly gone on to become experienced HVAC Engineers, Chargehands, Site Managers, Key Account Managers, Project Managers and more.




What’s involved in an Apprenticeship?
Throughout your Apprenticeship there are 7 phases alternating between on the job training (with Quinn Downes) and off the job training (in college), the average time to complete an Apprenticeship is 4.5 years, phases as follows:
Phase 1
On the job with Quinn Downes (Minimum 3 months)
Phase 2
Off the job in a training facility (Generally 6 months)
Phase 3
On the job with Quinn Downes (Minimum 6 months)
Phase 4
Off the job in a training facility (Generally 3 months)
Phase 5
On the job with Quinn Downes (Minimum 6 months)
Phase 6
Off the job in a training facility (Generally 3 months)
Phase 7
On the job with Quinn Downes (Minimum 3 months)
