It operates under the Quinn Downes Group which was established in 1999. QDSM was incorporated as there was a demand in the market for a class-leading service company that could deliver all Hard Engineering Services under the one umbrella.

QDSM have a total of 33 staff which is comprised of 4 Key Account Managers, 13 field service engineers comprising of HVAC Engineers, RGII Certified Engineers, Electrical Engineers, 8 Junior Engineers from 1st to 4th year and our office support team. Our continual education and upskilling of all our employees ensure that we are able to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations and also meet industry standards and best practices.

    About Alan

    With over 28 years experience in this sector, Alan specialised in Mechanical Engineering and qualified as a Fitter, Plumber in 1996. Since then he has worked his way up through the ranks from foreman to Project Manager and on to Director of Quinn Downes Service & Maintenance. Throughout this time he managed major installation projects throughout Ireland. He joined Quinn Downes Group in 2011 and is responsible for ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards, on budget and on programme. He is also responsible for driving the service business across all business & market sectors. His Key responsibility is to manage and maintain clientele satisfaction, business development and finance. He has a great understanding of the business and knows that the key to improvement and growth is to keep enhancing business systems, develop and grow overall team capabilities and qualifications to allow Quinn Downes Service & Maintenance to continually improve our clients’ experiences.

    Paul Cullen

      About Paul

      With over 24 years’ experience, Paul specialised in Mechanical Engineering and qualified as a certified Refrigeration and Air-conditioning engineer. Since then he has worked on domestic, commercial and industrial installations including Intel and Microsoft and managed major Maintenance Contracts and projects throughout Ireland. He joined Quinn Downes Service & Maintenance in 2016 and is responsible for ensuring all Maintenance Contracts and projects are completed to the highest standards, on budget and on programme. Paul also has additional qualifications in engineering, training and facility management earning himself a great reputation within the industry.

      Paul has vast experience on installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining Gas and Oil-fired boilers, AHU’s, Chillers, Pumps, Fans, AC Splits, VRV systems, CCU’s, Fan Coil units, DX Units, Extract systems, gas detection, refrigeration systems, BMS Systems along with all aspects of plumbing and mechanical systems. He also has vast experience working on large and small Data Centres and is a former council member of the Institute of Refrigeration Ireland.

        About Vincent

        With over 14 years’ experience in the Mechanical Engineering sector, Vincent has been working with Quinn Downes Group since 2006. His current role is  Project Manager in Quinn Downes Service & Maintenance, responsible for delivering the highest of quality projects from project inception to project completion. Vincent specialises in the delivery of multiple concurrent complex projects on Live Infrastructure in which he manages from Tender stage to closure. Vincent is also involved in the operations of the Service Department, Technical Support, Account Management and Estimations Department.

        Vincent is an active registered member of the Internationally recognised organisation PMI – Project Management Institute & Ireland Chapter PMI – Project Management Institute Ireland.

        Vincent’s key responsibilities as a Project manager are:

          Damien joined Quinn Downes Service & Maintenance in 2012, having specialised in the Mechanical industry and is a fully qualified/certified industrial plumber/pipefitter and Gas service technician. With over 22 years’ experience in the trade, Damien has worked on commercial and industrial Mechanical installations. Damien quickly progressed to the role of site foreman/supervisor for Quinn Downes Service & Maintenance and then on to become Key Account Manager responsible for ensuring all projects he was supervising were completed to the highest standard within time and budget.

          Damien has vast experience in installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining all aspects of Mechanical systems along with, gas/oil fired boilers, AHU’s, Pumps, Fans, Fan Coil units, Extract systems, gas detection, BMS Systems, chillers and mission critical systems.

              With over 16 years’ experience in the business, Colm specialised in the Mechanical industry and is a fully qualified/certified industrial refrigeration and air conditioning engineer. Since serving his time, Colm has worked on industrial Mechanical Installations and Maintenance throughout the country.
